『サロンカラーは臭い!?』
美容室でカラーをされた時、ツンとした匂いを感じると思います。
一方、市販されているホームカラーではあまり匂いを感じません。
ホームカラーの方が、ものがいいのでは？
いいえ、違います。
この匂いの違いは、カラー剤に含まれているアルカリ剤の違いなのです。
アルカリ剤は、毛髪表面のキューティクルを開かせたり、髪色を明るくしたりするのに必要な成分です。
サロンカラーでは、このアルカリ剤にアンモニア水を使用しています。
アンモニアは揮発性のため、つんとした匂いを感じます。
が、揮発性ということは、自然に蒸発するということなので、髪や皮膚に残りにくく、ダメージを抑えることができます。
一方、ホームカラーでは不揮発性のアルカリ剤を使用しています。
嫌な臭いは少ないのですが、髪や皮膚に残りやすく、ダメージにつながりやすくなります。
カラー技術以前に、カラー剤で既に差がついているのです。
揮発性で、無臭で、他の成分（染料など）の働きを邪魔しない、更に安価で手に入る、そんなアルカリ剤が出るといいですね。
